Website Project.
I never had any experience with html, I always saw the abbreviation html, I did not the meaning of it. I know it had to do with the computer not in so much details, until now, I am so glad that I did not drop the class, I have learned a lot. I have a much more understanding about many abbreviations words and html is one of them, I am hoping that I will be able to use it in my personal life as well as professional. The thought of writing my first website is traumatize, I do have any ideas where to start and where to finish, but; then again I have a lot of ideas how I would love my first website to look. One thing that I have to keep in my mind is the word c.r.a.p.
Since there is a big possibility my kids and I are planning on leaving the USA to move to another country, I decided to do my website on the family, I will name the website "fortune's Family" I am not really sure if that is what I want to name the website so far that is best I can come up with. I will be explaning where my husband and I met, our children likes and dislikes, I will find the images from me, the pictures that I took from the time they were born until now. I already editing my photos, I do not know where i am going to find a link for my website yet. I might used weebly for my web 2.0 prjct.

BLOG--5
It was funny the way I found out on the last class, that it does not take much to create your own website. People usually make a big deal, and company charges an arm and a leg to create a web page. On the other hand, which one is easier, doing it yourself or have a company does for you since technology is so advance. Several things need to be consider before anyone creates a website, which I learn while taking this class. Some people don't even think twice before they create a website. For example what is the purpose or the reason why you are creating the web, who is attention you are trying to catch by creating one, who is the server etc.
The reading was based on what to do and what to look for when creating a website. It also mentione what is important and what is not important. Color is very important to know when creating a web page. make sure you remember to save your files while creating the web page. make sure you keep the files and precise as possible.
I think it is a good idea to design your website if you know what you are doing, if someone does not know what he or she is doing, it is always best to hire a professional. Some people who crate their own website may not think rationally. As easy as creating a website may looks, at the same time it can be a challenge. The drawback of hiring someone are, the website may not turn out the way you plan, it can be hard for anyone to navigate the web, the update on the web can cost more than the initial order. usability is very important in a web page, the creator needs to think if everyone would have access to the web, such as dissable people, blinds.

Week-3 Sept 24
One thing I learn about this week reading is how much of attention I need to put on putting a website together, it does not take a rocket scientitist to do it, however; I need to think twice before I put it together. One important information was the colors you use on the website and also the resolution image used. Using the web is a great information device. you have to make a good judgment when you are chosing your colors. example, last weekend when i was working on lab project, I noticed when i change the color, it makes a great difference, choosing the right size to the image can make a great difference, I can choose to make the image small, medium, large or xtra large, however; I have to make sure that I use the right PPI size, make sure it is not too high. The ppi size should be 72 and 96 to effectively display a graphic.
The main focus when designing for the web is the time that is required to load the page and sometimes the trade off you should make to keep this time down.
The 2 websites I evaluate were: www.letterboxing.org/index.php. is one of the website I picked. hthe website was very efficient. The main page was slow to load and the links on the main graphics were not spontaneous. It is a fun site for family. The color was very nice, it was easy to navigate from one page to another. The designer word chosen links could be clearer.
www.albright.edu/index/php was another page that I evaluate. The navigation scheme and the text great. I like the color and the flow of the homepage. the information is accessible.
I will be more critical of websites when I look at in the future, especially the colors, the sizes of the pictures, I will apply this information very careful when I ma putting my websites together.

BLOG-WEEK-2
One thing I have learned during my readings from the book, the website resources as well as the material covered in class were how much there is into creating a web design. How I can take an image, clean it up in a particular way. The way I should made a wed design as visable, readable as ever. One part that I found that was extremely interested was the photoshop session. I always knew it could be done but finding out how it can be done was great. I did not comprehend the time and exactness with which someone can take to make a picture perfect on the web, if people knew how much of work, and planing that goes into making a wed design perfect, it will be more appreciated, Web design is a word of art. I can not wait to see what the remaining of the weeks bring. It funny how how much I pay @ sears portrait for my family pictures.
I need to be very prudent when emailing photos to love ones and friends. How you size the pictures are very important, the picture should have a specific size approximately 200-300 pixels, the smaller they are, the better they look. Saving the file on JPEG is one way to make the sizes maller
things you can do to make the pictures smaller for sharing online are: cropping the picture, it is one way, meaning you need to remove the unwanted or the unnecessary portions of the pictures.
Changing the pixel dimensions, the pixels are smaller, everything showing on the screen looks smaller, having too many pixels make it difficult for the person to view the pictures.

Block week 1
One thing I learn from the first class is in order for anyone of any company to design a web site, ones they have to know how to keeping contrast, repetition, alignment, and proximity together. by having all of these four elemements in place will make the add better, will give the public a reason to look at the advertisement a second time. After the first week of class, it made me not to look at flyers, business cards, posters etc the same way. Contrast, repetition, alignment and proximity will make the web site more proficient and easy to read and comprehend.
Web design is a creation of web page and abbreviations, which I did not get until I read the chapters, I realized that these abbreviations have meaning, and they are combined of the right texts, shapes colors, they are plenty of things anyone can do in a web page.
Graphic design plays a big role in our daily lives by giving us diciplines and by preparing us to communicate with the public through visual information.
Web has it differences and so does print. It is necessary to understand that web and print share similarities. alignment, use of colors, consistency of text, and component spacing. The web offered is the ability to provide real imformation. The printed docs are not going to vanish.
